Buck Meek returns to Manchester this March for a headline show at YES. Best known as a core member of Big Thief, the Texas-born, New York–based songwriter has built a solo catalogue that sits comfortably alongside his work with the band, marked by understated arrangements and reflective storytelling.
His recent albums, including Two Saviors and Haunted Mountain, set the tone for live performances that draw on personal narrative, quiet humour and a distinctive guitar style shaped by folk, country and subtle experimental influences. On stage, Meek’s songs favour close detail and unhurried delivery, creating space for the emotional clarity at the heart of his writing.
The YES show forms part of his return to solo touring ahead of a wider run of European dates, offering a chance to hear material from across his albums in an intimate setting.
