This immersive workshop invites participants to explore the art of brushstroke papercutting under the guidance of artist Jasmine Gardner.

The session begins with an introduction to diverse brushstroke techniques and paper cutting methods, incorporating themes of UK community. Attendees will have the opportunity to paint bold brushstrokes on colored paper and learn the skill of cutting negative space to create intricate designs.

Jasmine Gardner’s artwork combines a passion for vibrant color, mixed media, and surrealist motifs with Chinese-inspired subjects and aesthetics. Her practice brings traditional Chinese objects, crafts, and creatures into a contemporary setting by merging unconventional materials, colors, and themes.

The workshop is recommended for individuals aged 13 and above. Participants are advised to exercise care, as papercutting tools will be used.
