Writer and director Elmi Ali invites audiences to an intimate gathering that blurs the lines between speaker and listener.
Around the table, artists, creatives and guests explore the state of our world—its fractures, politics and possibilities—in a space that values honesty, empathy and dialogue. With conversation unfolding naturally, participants move from audience to active contributors, sharing perspectives as they would at home: openly, sometimes passionately, always with care.
This event is designed to create a comfortable and respectful space for men, including trans men, and those who are gender non-conforming. Sensitive topics will be discussed, and audience participation is encouraged.
Elmi Ali is a writer, director and facilitator based in the North-West. His work spans poetry, short fiction and theatre, with performances and publications including The British Library, Scarf Magazine and Critical Muslim.
