A powerful day of reflection, celebration, and courageous conversation will take place in Manchester as part of Black History Month 2025.
This year’s theme, Standing Firm in Power and Pride, invites communities to honour the strength, creativity, and brilliance of Black people—past, present, and future. It is a chance to recognise not only the struggles, but also the resilience, resistance, and achievements that continue to shape Black British life.
Hosted at the iconic Martin Luther King House, the one-day conference will bring together community leaders, students, families, educators, and professionals for an inspiring programme. The event will feature thought-provoking speakers, creative performances, lived experience panels, and practical actions aimed at building a more inclusive and just society.
More than just a conference, this gathering serves as a call to action—an opportunity to learn, connect, and stand firm in power and pride.
