Billie Marten

Yorkshire-born, London-based folk singer-songwriter Isabella Tweddle—professionally known as Billie Marten—has been writing and performing music since childhood, releasing her debut EP at age 15. Now, more than a decade into her career, Billie has released three EPs (Ribbon, 2014; As Long As, 2015; Acoustic, 2021) and four albums (Writing of Blues and Yellows, 2016; Feeding Seahorses by Hand, 2019; Flora Fauna, 2021; Drop Cherries, 2023), all of which have received critical acclaim.

In late 2024, following her own headline touring throughout the UK, Europe and US, including appearances at festivals like Glastonbury and Manchester Psych Fest, Billie performed a sold-out headline show at London’s Barbican Centre. Accompanied by free-form string group, Her Ensemble, Billie performed orchestral renditions of her back catalogue to a standing ovation. A seasoned songwriter and musician, Billie is held in high esteem by fans, industry and musical peers alike in the UK and abroad.

Catch Billie Marten live at Manchester Academy this November as she returns to Manchester. With support from Canadian folk musician and singer-songwriter Lr Ren.
