New York duo Armand Hammer—rappers billy woods and Elucid—bring their latest material to Gorilla this March.
Formed in the early 2010s, the pair first emerged with the 2013 debut RACE MUSIC, building on their individual reputations for dense, uncompromising lyricism and collaborative experimentation.
Their work has consistently pushed against conventional rap structures, pairing abstract storytelling with stark, unconventional production. Across multiple releases, woods and Elucid have developed a close creative partnership, trading verses that reflect a shared interest in history, politics and the pressures of contemporary life.
They are currently touring in support of their 2025 album Mercy, which reunites them with producer The Alchemist. The record leans into tense, minimal soundscapes and continues the duo’s focus on how large-scale violence and social forces filter into everyday experience. Critics have noted the project’s sharpened cohesion and the pair’s increasingly fluid vocal interplay.
At Gorilla, audiences can expect a set drawn from Mercy alongside material from across the duo’s catalogue—delivered in the direct, no-frills live format that has defined Armand Hammer’s reputation on stage.
