To celebrate Pride Month 2024, the ALLOUT Network and EDI Directorate are proud to present an evening of conversation with author Matt Cain.
In January, Matt published his new novel ‘One Love’ which is partly set at the University of Manchester. It follows the relationship between the characters Danny and Guy, who first meet at the University’s Freshers Fair in 2002 and reunite for Manchester Pride 2022.
Matt is a local author, born in Bury and raised in Bolton. He attended Cambridge University before going on to work in television and journalism, ultimately becoming Editor-in-Chief at Attitude Magazine 2016 – 2018.
Matt has written six novels in total:
Shot Through the Heart
Nothing But Trouble
The Madonna of Bolton
The Secret Life of Albert Entwistle
Becoming Ted
One Love
Matt will be joining us to discuss ‘One Love’, his career and answer your questions. No doubt there will be some laughs along the way! This is not one to be missed.
There will also be an opportunity to purchase the latest novel.
