Alice Vincent, acclaimed writer, journalist, and podcaster, will discuss her new book Hark: How Women Listen, an intimate exploration of the sounds that shape women’s lives.
Drawing on her background in music journalism, Vincent examines how women navigate a world of noise created by men, from the overwhelming sounds of motherhood to the quiet rhythms of nature. Prompted by the birth of her child and the sensory demands of modern life, Hark traces her journey to rediscover listening as a restorative and grounding practice. She invites audiences to consider sound as a means of reclaiming presence, identity, and connection.
Vincent is a bestselling author, Guardian columnist, and host of the Why Women Grow podcast. Her previous books include Rootbound: Rewilding a Life and Why Women Grow. The event will be hosted by writer Kate Feld and is accessible for wheelchair users and those with access needs.
