Alexis Taylor, frontman of Hot Chip, performs a solo show at YES in April in support of his seventh album, Paris In The Spring, released in March 2026 via Night Time Stories. The album features collaborations with artists including Air’s Nicolas Godin, The Avalanches, Étienne de Crécy, Scritti Politti’s Green Gartside, and Ewan Pearson.
Paris In The Spring blends elements of leftfield pop, country, disco-house, and atmospheric soundscapes, exploring personal and psychological themes while maintaining bright, contemporary melodies. The lead single, “Out Of Phase,” is a duet with Nashville singer-songwriter Lola Kirke and draws inspiration from the films of David Lynch.
Taylor’s solo work builds on his long career with Hot Chip, combining experimental production, pop sensibility, and eclectic instrumentation. The YES show is expected to feature material from Paris In The Spring alongside selections from his earlier solo albums.
