Leeds six-piece Adult DVD bring their synth-driven blend of indie, dance-punk and club-ready grooves to Gorilla this Halloween.
Formed during lockdown by friends Harry Hanson and Greg Lonsdale before expanding into a full band, Adult DVD have quickly developed a reputation for infectious hooks, euphoric live shows and a sound that sits somewhere between a gig and a club night. Their debut single Do Something earned immediate support from BBC 6 Music, while a string of self-released tracks helped establish them as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging acts.
Since then, the band have sold out headline shows across the country, appeared at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend and BBC 6 Music Festival, and earned recognition from publications including Rolling Stone UK, which named them among its artists to watch for 2026. Earlier this year they signed to influential US label Fat Possum Records, marking another major step in their rapid ascent.
Drawing on everything from indie-pop and post-punk to acid house and dance music, Adult DVD have built a reputation for turning venues into full-scale parties. Their Halloween show at Gorilla promises a night of driving rhythms, big choruses and the kind of communal energy that has made them one of the most talked-about live bands around.
