Experience Richard Lester’s landmark Beatles film A Hard Day’s Night alongside a special post-screening conversation with journalist, broadcaster and author Samira Ahmed.
Drawing on her new BFI Film Classics book, Ahmed explores how a modest black-and-white comedy became one of the most influential music films ever made, capturing Beatlemania at its height while reshaping both pop culture and cinema.
Following the screening, audiences can hear Ahmed discuss the film’s lasting legacy and its impact on generations of filmmakers and musicians, with a book signing taking place afterwards. The event forms part of Rip It Up, a nationwide season celebrating youth rebellion, culture and expression on screen.
